However, on 15 March 2019, it was a terror attacked happened in New Zealand and the news shocked everyone in the world and the New Zealand people themselves. At least 50 people were killed and 50 wounded, in a hate-filled terror attack targeting two mosques in the New Zealand city of Christchurch. The shooter, identified as 28-year-old Australian citizen Brenton Harrison Tarrant, has been charged with murder. As a Muslim, of course it was a sad stories to hear because in this world, there are people who can not accept the difference among the religions and their hatred towards Islam.

I plan to visit New Zealand in year 2020 and Christchurch is one of the most well-known and famous destination for me to stopover to see the stunning natural beauty of the country and hospitality of their people. The country geographically comprises two main land the North Island and the South Island.

For Malaysians, we are not required to apply for a visa to enter the country. Direct flights to New Zealand from Malaysia are available from Kuala Lumpur and the average flight time is approximately 12 hours. The majority of international flights arrive in Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city, and domestic flights connect Auckland airport with a web of smaller airports throughout the country. Other option is to transit in Australia and fly to New Zealand. If you want to go abroad especially Muslims, make sure the country you visit is safe to go. New Zealand is among the safest countries to visit by Muslim.
